Following recent reports of anti-social behaviour in the Abertysswg area, there will be a 48 hour Dispersal Order (Under Section 35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014) in place this weekend.
The designated area of the order will include: The Green, Charles Street, Station Road, Walter Street, Westville, Alfred Street, Hill Road, Alexander Street, Arthur Street, Abertysswg Farm and all public spaced and thoroughfares contained within the boundary designated on the attached map.
The order starts at 3pm on Friday 25th May and will be in place for 48 hours.
Officers will be operating high visibility patrols in the area and will have the authority to direct anyone behaving anti-socially away from the area. If they return to that area after being moved on, they face being arrested.
PC Greg Turley said: "There have been incidents recently and historically of young people congregating and behaving anti socially in the Abertysswg area. We have also received reports of criminal damage. This behaviour is unacceptable and can have a negative impact on the lives of local residents.
“We will continue to deal with repeat offenders robustly and would ask anyone experiencing anti-social behaviour in their area to call 101 to report it or dial 999 if there is an emergency. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
